Overall, January 2016 really rocked the Midland real estate market. Comparing 2015 to 2016, we were ever so slightly up in homes sold, but saw an 8.8% upswing in the average sales price while also enjoying a 1% improvement in the list to sales price. Couple that with the days on market dropping by 19%, sellers are seeing the market turning more in their favor. While it is not a seller’s market, it certainly has moved more toward a stable market in our city.
