Winter is sure ending with a bang! The snow has not slowed the housing market down, though. We are remaining steady if not improving. Compared to last year, we are in a dead heat for homes sold, but most notably, our average sales price is climbing. And it is climbing substantially! Homes are selling this year on average almost 13% higher than last year. Consumer confidence is up in our area, it seems, as the time it is taking to sell these homes has also vastly improved by over 30 days less time on the market.
As we move into the spring market, more homes will list, and generally, more buyers will be out and about as well. This will bring some interesting updates in the next few months that will be worth watching!
