Perhaps the most centrally located community in the Tri-City area, Auburn is a small but vibrant city. Community events run year round and include Treasure Hunt Days in the spring, the Corn Fest in July, Summer Farmers’ Market, and the Santa Fun Fest in December. Surrounded on all sides, Auburn has an active partnership with Williams Township. The two share an advisory committee, joint fire-department, and recreation association. Both Auburn and Williams Township Parks offer paths for riding or walking, baseball/softball diamonds, and play equipment for children. Auburn is just minutes from several other cities and communities and is ideal for anyone looking for a central location.
Within the Bay City School District, Auburn area youth are educated at Auburn Elementary and Western Middle & High Schools. Western High School offers 9 AP classes, dual enrollment at Delta and Saginaw Valley, and an extensive Co-Op program. The middle school and high schools are housed in the same complex, which also allows advanced middle school students the opportunity to take classes for high school credit.
In addition to a wide variety of student clubs such as scrabble, fishing, world language and ski club, students also have the opportunity to participate in 22 varsity sports, an active Relay for Life group, an award winning Year Book team, and student council.
