Sanford is a village in Midland County, located right along the banks of Sanford Lake. Sanford has great parks and recreation, including a Midland County Park with a boat launch, sandy swimming area, spray park, and pavilions. Residents enjoy the lake year-round with boating, fishing, and swimming in the summer and ice fishing and snowmobiling in the winter. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy the Pere Marquette Rail-trail, and acres of state land for hunting opportunities. While Sanford offers residents a full grocery store, hardware store, gas stations, and restaurants, it is also just minutes to Midland for more shopping opportunities. The village is known for their founders’ day celebration and also Parkapalooza. Sanford is also home to the Meridian Mustangs; elementary, junior high and high schools.
